California Institute of Licensed Investigators Holds Intro Course

For almost 15 years, Michael Singleton has owned and served as an investigator for Ironhorse Investigative Services in Norwalk, CA. To help him remain up-to-date with changes within the industry, Norwalk, CA, resident Michael Singleton belongs to the California Institute of Licensed Investigators (CALI).

CALI formed when two organizations, the California Association of Private Investigators and the Private Investigators Association of California, merged in 1968. The nonprofit organization protects and enhances the work done by licensed private investigators and patrol operator members. Today, the organization has more than 1,400 members and is the largest private investigator association in the world.

One of the ways that CALI educates its members is through different educational sessions, including the Newly Licensed Investigators Training and Education (NLITE). On February 24, 2018, members had a chance to take NLITE, which is the introductory course of CALI’s professional development program. The course covered basic information on becoming a private investigator in California. Members also enjoyed a continental breakfast and lunch during the day-long event.
